There is a direct correlation between food insecurity and education. It is often common for individuals who have higher education to have a higher and more stable income than those who do not finish high school nor attain a bachelor's degree. Due to a lack of sufficient financial means, it is difficult for individuals who suffer from food insecurity to be able to provide healthy meals to their families. A Place at the Table truly helps identify this problem in the US, and it also highlights on important factors which play a major role in determining why and how people suffer from this issue. The children of these parents often suffer from proper cognitive functioning which results in a trend that they too may not perform well in school. They might drop out of school early, and potentially run the risk of following in their parents' shoes.
